Our Client & Market Growth team

Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Your role

We are currently seeking an External Communications Consultant for our Sydney or Melbourne team. In this position you will be responsible for originating, producing and editing a wide variety of content ranging from signature thought leadership through to marketing and communications collateral. You will also advise, develop and manage the implementation of effective external communications solutions for our campaigns in the market.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Working with all levels of the business to conceptualise, develop and produce content for publication across our multiple channels
  • Providing external communications advice and guidance in relation to the firm's campaigns. This includes advising on appropriate communications channels, measures of success, and strategies to reach our desired audiences
  • Assisting our national network of Market Growth Managers with the external communications components of campaigns being driven by the business
  • Allocation, tracking and quality control of writing, editorial and production tasks
  • Managing the flow of inbound requests for communications support
  • Provision of editorial support to prepare content for a broad range of channels, with a focus on applying key messages, a consistent firm voice and appropriate standards

We welcome applications from people with:

  • Strong writer with ability to write and produce and edit high value content
  • Degree qualified (communications, marketing, journalism, or public relations)
  • Marketing communications expertise, ideally in an in-house B2B corporate environment
  • Deep and established experience in developing messages and communications strategies and plans for external channels
  • Direct experience driving communications activity to support thought leadership
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, geographically dispersed team
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and online/electronic media
  • Confidence in dealing with stakeholders at all levels
