Our Client & Market Growth team

Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Your Role

The Perth office of MinterEllison is undergoing significant growth and plays an integral part of the firm's 2020 strategy. In this role you will report to and support the Associate Director – National Markets (Perth) by consulting and working closely with the firm's key stakeholders and by collaborating with colleagues in other states to deliver astute business development support to the Perth based business units and industry groups.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders that are collaborative, innovative and value adding to ensure high quality service delivery at all times
  • Work closely with the Associate Director – National Markets (Perth), to develop and project manage a range of business development and marketing initiatives for the Perth office as well as broader firm wide initiatives across our various client segments including but not limited to our Government Industry Group and National Markets
  • Produce reports and prepare qualitative and quantitative data
  • Prepare credentials, proposals and tender responses in conjunction with key stakeholders and the broader Client & Market Growth team
  • Support Partners and Client Service Teams in developing and managing key client accounts
  • Measure, report and assess the effectiveness of initiatives to enable continuous improvement into future activities
  • Research and interpret market intelligence and identifying key opportunities
  • Assist in general administration related to business development and marketing including liaising with clients, tracking BD activities and updating a CRM database
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members

We welcome applications from people with:

  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in law, marketing, communications, business or a related discipline
  • 5-7 years' experience in business development and marketing or equivalent; experience applying these skills in legal or professional services environment will be well regarded, as will experience in the legal sector
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management at all levels including with both internal and external clients
  • The ability to work under pressure while delivering complex competing tasks
  • The ability to work in collaboratively within a team environment
