Our Tax team

As one of the largest tax teams of any Australian law firm, we assist clients on the full spectrum of tax laws, including income tax, international tax, capital gains tax, stamp duty, GST and tax controversy.

The role
An excellent opportunity exists within our Corporate Tax team for an experienced Legal Secretary/Executive Assistant. This full-time permanent position would be supporting two Partners and a number of lawyers.  The key to success in this role will be working closely with the two Partners to grow their practices through your invaluable support and coordination.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • managing files (both electronic and hard copy)
  • diary management and organisation of authors
  • monitoring emails and telephone calls
  • assisting in maintaining client databases
  • preparing and amending correspondence and documents
  • reconciling corporate expenses
  • monthly billing in accordance with client requirements

More about you

This role presents a great opportunity for an experienced Secretary or Personal Assistant from a mid or top tier firm, with experience supporting a team of Partners and lawyers. The successful candidate will be keen to make the role their own, be excited by innovation and enthusiastic about building relationships within the team environment.

In addition you will need:

  • a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Secretary or Personal Assistant, ideally within the legal industry
  • excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels
  • advanced MS Word skills, including document creation and presentation
  • experience using MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • an adaptable and flexible nature
  • a proactive approach and a high degree of initiative
