The Sydney Real Estate team is led by partners Virginia Briggs, David McElhone, Elias Stephen, Jakob Paartalu, Julie Purbrick and Rachel McNaught. The team offers a comprehensive range of property-related legal services for developers, investors, owners, landlords, property funds managers and listed property trusts. 

In this role you will work with Elias Stephen. Elias is a market leading real estate transaction and project partner, with deep relationships across the real estate industry. Elias and his team act on significant real estate transactions and projects for national and international institutions / funds, across all asset classes.


As a member of our award winning, dynamic and highly collaborative team you will have the opportunity to work with Elias and our senior lawyers to gain exposure to:

  • large scale real estate transactions;
  • development and infrastructure projects;
  • government projects; 
  • leasing of commercial and industrial property; and
  • general commercial property advice work.


You will be a 2-3 year PAE Lawyer with experience in a reputable property team.

You will also have: 

  • a commercial approach to all matters;
  • excellent business acumen and a desire to strengthen and build client relationships;
  • superior drafting ability and a strong attention to detail;
  • the ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment;
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; and
  • resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own.
