Your Role

We currently have an opportunity for a full time Chef de Partie (Breakfast Chef) to join our on-site kitchen, and assist in meeting the catering requirements for all on-site functions. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm, with flexibility required. The Sydney Client Floor is a close-knit, hardworking team who continually deliver the high standard of service our clients and partners expect.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of food and meals for a wide variety of functions (from sandwiches, cocktail parties to fine dining)
  • Assist the Kitchen Team Leader  and Senior Chef  with menu planning and meal design
  • Assist the Kitchen Team Leader  and Senior Chef  with ordering and stock control
  • Participate in permanent and casual kitchen staff supervision, training and performance
  • Clean and ensure kitchen and equipment is maintained to comply with health and safety standards
  • Undertake market shopping as required
  • Ability to perform role of the Kitchen Team Leader  and Senior Chef  in their absence

What you need

We welcome applications from people with:

  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in fine dining either in a hotel or corporate environment
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Ability to work professionally at all times in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Creativity, passion and flair for food preparation and presentation
  • Demonstrate leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to improve service levels
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
