MinterEllison's Perth Infrastructure, Construction and Property team is led by partners John Prevost, Lee Rossetto, Gehann Perera and Tom French and provides comprehensive legal support to major institutional property investors, developers, landlords, retirement village operators, government agencies, contractors, financiers and tenants on all facets of commercial, industrial, retail and residential property including due diligences, acquisitions, disposals, development, leasing and disputes. A great opportunity currently exists for a lawyer with leasing and conveyancing experience to join our award winning property team working closely with partner Gehann Perera and senior associate Sarah Moore.  As a member of this team you will have a focus on leasing and conveyancing work.

Our leasing and conveyancing practice is part of our core business and it continues to grow from strength to strength. We work on both high volume leasing and conveyancing matters as well as complex and sophisticated leasing and acquisition deals for some of the best clients in Australia including AMP, Vicinity, Lendlease and Stockland.

We are looking to recruit a lawyer who is able to successfully manage high volume and high quality leasing and conveyancing work. In this role you will manage your own files and be responsible for preparing, negotiating and progressing clients' leases and conveyancing. You will deal directly with clients and conduct negotiations with our client's counterparties and their lawyers.  You will also have the opportunity to supervise graduates and paralegals.


We welcome applications from leasing and conveyancing lawyers with:

  • experience in commercial property law, with a particular focus on the leasing of commercial and retail real estate
  • an understanding of the retail tenancy legislation
  • strong drafting skills
  • a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
  • a keen eye for detail
  • an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, sharing files and clients
  • a desire to help grow a successful and collaborative high volume leasing and conveyancing practice
  • an interest in continuous process improvement and generating efficiencies through innovation and state of the art technology
