Your role

Due to an interstate transfer, an opportunity exists for an experienced Legal Secretary within the Workplace team with a focus on employment, safety and workers' compensation.  The role will see you supporting a Partner, Senior Associate, Associate and lawyer. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • preparing, collating and amending correspondence and court documents
  • proactive diary management and coordination of travel arrangements
  • assisting with day to day client management
  • file management including opening and closing files, electronic and physical filing
  • extensive billing, reporting and general accounts
  • reconciling corporate AMEX expenses
  • answering calls and monitoring emails
  • general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, searches and formatting
  • other ad hoc duties as required


To be successful in this role, you will need strong organisational skills as well as a high level of initiative and enthusiasm. In addition to this, you will possess the following experience/attributes:

  • at least 3+ years' experience working as a Legal Secretary
  • excellent typing skills with attention to detail
  • ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • advanced Microsoft application knowledge
  • a team focus, with the ability to inspire confidence and motivate other group members
  • self-motivation with a high level of initiative and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, industry experts and clients
  • resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own
  • pride in your work
