The program

The MinterEllison Talent Pathways Mentoring Program is a joint initiative between MinterEllison and a number of Universities. The purpose of the program is to connect high achieving law students (mentees) in their pre-penultimate year of study who are interested in a career in commercial law, to the lawyers at MinterEllison who have recently made the successful transition from law school to law firm, with the goal to foster the personal professional development of the mentee.

What we are looking for

The program is open to pre-penultimate law students. We are looking for students who are keen to explore the opportunity of working in corporate law at the end of their studies.

What we offer

The MinterEllison Talent Pathways Mentoring program will run over six-months from June through to December 2019. Successful applicants will be matched with a MinterEllison Lawyer (Mentor) at the firm and have the opportunity to develop their relationship over the next few months.

After welcoming everyone to the program and introducing Mentee - Mentor partners, participants will be provided a handbook, and encouraged to determine their own effective method of communicating throughout the program. Communication may be a combination of face to face meetings, skype, phone, and/or email communication. You will be provided with a guide to structure the meetings which you can use throughout the program.

Throughout the program you will develop a set of goals and outcomes that you would like to achieve. You will have the opportunity to share your success at the at the conclusion of the program.

You will also be able to attend four separate sessions at our office focused on the various elements of working in a commercial law firm.
