Purpose of the role

Our national Client & Market Growth (CMG) team at MinterEllison is a high performing, critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients. Our successful team is recruiting an experienced Market Growth Manager to drive the business development and marketing strategy for the Infrastructure Construction & Property (ICP) group. The role is part of a national team and will have a focus on driving the firms property industry strategy.

Job description

As a Market Growth Manager you will be focussed on the development of strategy and driving growth within our market leading Infrastructure Construction & Property Line of Business and Property Industry Group.

Some of your primary responsibilities include:

  • Working as a trusted adviser to Line of Business leaders in the development and implementation of national, integrated marketing and business development plans that support the achievement of the ICP business strategy and plan, with a particular focus on the property industry
  • Supporting Partners across the ICP lines of business nationally to deliver an industry / sector strategy
  • Supporting Partners in assessing sales opportunities and formulating responses to clients, including management of key pursuits, preparing tender responses and supporting documents and leveraging support from major pursuits and proposals team as appropriate
  • Managing industry relationships including the Property Council of Australia and providing strategic guidance to Partners and the broader business to leverage such relationships in partnership with our clients
  • Supporting the growth of business development skills across the legal practitioners in the business unit through formal and informal coaching and guiding of interactions with clients and networks
  • Designing and executing campaigns to further develop MinterEllison's market positioning, with a focus on the property industry
  • Measuring, reporting and assessing effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives including identifying and incorporating continuous improvement into future activities
  • Fostering relationships both in ICP and broader CMG groups that are collaborative, innovative and value adding and ensure high quality service delivery to the ICP business unit and property industry group
  • Contribution to supporting the ICP business unit achieve their revenue budget

More about you

On your first day we expect you to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant market and industry sectors
  • Experience in B2B BD / marketing role with a focus on product and / or segment management, campaign development, communications and project management
  • Experience within a professional services environment is highly preferred
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical, planning and project management skills
  • Business and BD planning and campaign development and execution
  • Experience in dealing with multiple and senior stakeholders
  • A proven ability to use influence and persuasion to achieve desired outcomes
  • Sound financial acumen and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to working effectively as part of team with a 'success for all' attitude.

Bonus points for someone who:

  • Has demonstrated business development experience in the property industry
