The Legal Technology Consulting (LTC) group is MinterEllison's internal applied legal technology group. LTC is responsible for providing expert technical and project management consulting support for legal matters, specialising in the areas of electronic discovery, web based data rooms and information management. The group works closely with the firm's lawyers to streamline data intensive processes to produce efficient and cost effective outcomes.

As a result of the firm's growth, our LTC team is looking for a Consultant to join the team. As specialists in their field, our Consultants offer technical advice across a diverse portfolio of projects including litigation, responses to regulators, investigations, and other related services. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice to internal and external clients regarding database management, electronic discovery, document review and document management;
  • Actively managing the technical aspects of electronic discovery, ensuring quality controls are in place to ensure accuracy and consistency;
  • Providing leadership and training to our team of Project Coordinators when working together on matter activities and strategic projects;
  • Identifying, resolving or escalating matter management risks and issues to the Litigation Lead Consultant;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships internally and with external service providers;
  • Contributing to the ongoing profitability of the LTC team by developing and championing efficient practices and alternative pricing models.

What you need

We welcome applications from candidates who:

  • Have a proven record in coordinating legal technology projects of varying size and complexity;
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Are forward thinking, agile, flexible and consultative in their approach
  • Possess strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, at all levels
  • Have a strong commercial focus
  • Have proven experience using electronic discovery platforms such as Nuix, Ringtail (Nuix Discover) or Relativity

The team works closely with the firm's lawyers to streamline data intensive processes to produce efficient and cost effective outcomes.
