PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Our busy and successful team are looking for a talented Senior Legal Executive Assistant to join our Melbourne team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The purpose of this role is to provide high quality admin support to a team of lawyers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • High volume email and phone management
  • Liaising with barristers and their clerks
  • Transcription of digital dictation
  • Drafting and preparing correspondence, including documents, letters, emails and PowerPoint presentations
  • Client file management and reporting
  • Electronic file management
  • Conducting the billing cycle, including end of month billing, managing budgets and drafting estimates
  • Organising travel requests
  • Reconciliation of corporate expenses for individuals and group
  • Assisting in maintaining client databases
  • Building relationships with our clients and their support staff
  • Managing compliance with client relationship protocols
  • Organising and coordinating meetings
  • Diary management

MORE ABOUT YOU

This role will suit a candidate with previous litigation experience, ideally gained in a high volume and fast-paced environment. In addition, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong understanding of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software
  • An adaptable and flexible nature
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a discrete manner
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to clearly and confidently communicate at all levels
  • A proactive approach and high levels of initiative
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
