As a result of rapid growth, we are looking for an experienced Data Architect to support the Data and Analytics team, and MinterEllison's journey towards becoming an Analytics and Insights driven organisation.


This role will enable the Analytics Centre of Excellence to better support the business by collaborating to develop the architecture narrative, develop the data management function, including data architecture, master data management, data governance and data quality mechanisms.

Your duties will include:

  • Develop relationships with the business areas based on trust and credibility as a thought leader.
  • Create and maintain a holistic view of information assets by creating and maintaining blueprints that illustrate how information is stored, processed, and accessed.
  • Contribute and support improvements to enterprise information solutions such as master data management, meta data management, analytics, content management, data integration and related information management components.
  • Contribute towards development of the information strategy and governance processes required to improve business outcomes.
  • Partner with key role (e.g. PM's, business analysts etc.) to develop solutions which are aligned to architecture standards and principles.
  • Implement guidelines to ensure systems and processes adhere to data quality standards and deliver on end user expectations and provide recommendations to maximise the value of enterprise information assets through creation, access and use.
  • Work with Head of Cyber and Information Security to ensure enterprise data and analytics assets are protected.
  • Lead sessions with cross functional teams to understand and analyse impact of requirements and changes to data structures.
  • Assist with approach / frameworks for data integration, data load routines and other artefacts necessary to implement best practice ETL/ELT type integrations.

On your first day, we expect you to have: 

  • At least 7 years experience in Data architecture developing and implementing a data strategy at the enterprise level.
  • Experience in data architecture, Analytics, IT strategy & planning, solution architecture.
  • Experience of Cloud data technologies, solutions and future Cloud data strategies.
  • Strong understanding of activities within primary discipline such as Master Data management (MDM), Metadata Management and Data Governance (DG).
  • Consistently demonstrate strong experience in conceptual, logical, and physical database architectures, design patterns, best practices, and programming techniques around relational modelling, dimensional modelling and data integration.
  • Experience in leading change.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex IT delivery projects, including CRM and HRIS.
  • A consulting background is desirable.
  • Exposure to Agile methodology and development is preferred.
  • Experience in human centered design approach favourable.
