PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a Head of Human Resources for our Disputes, Competition & Insurance (DCI) team.  This role will provide decision and strategic support to the DCI Managing Partner and their leadership team to optimise the performance of their business. 

Your responsibilities will be many and varied, and may change over time. Some key aspects to your role include:

  • provide thought leadership for HR strategies and initiatives that enhance overall performance
  • enable the business strategy by helping to identify and build capability, talent pipeline and the right behaviours and structures across the DCI team nationally
  • drive the talent processes (performance planning and reviews, salary reviews, recruitment etc) to build capability and ensure staff are performing to a high standard
  • collaborate as a member of the Talent leadership team and a senior member of the DCI team
  • provide leadership to a team of talent professionals and build capability across the talent functions to meet the needs of the firm
  • contribute to the implementation of initiatives for realising the firm's strategic plan
  • provide change and transition management expertise for the Talent and DCI teams to enable successful adoption of business improvement initiatives

What you need

We welcome applications from people with:

  • postgraduate qualification or equivalent degree in related discipline
  • extensive leadership experience at senior level (minimum 8 years or more) within a similar leading professional services organisation or global partnership
  • proven experience in developing HR strategies that contribute to meeting an organisation's objectives
  • strong influencing and communication skills
  • proven experience in leading a high performing team
  • able to make complex decisions to ensure the firm objectives are met within defined parameters.
