Your role

An excellent opportunity exists within our successful Insurance and Corporate Risk group for a Legal Secretary to join the team. This is a full-time permanent role which will see the successful candidate provide high level support in a busy practice, where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client liaison
  • Diary management including organising and coordinating meetings
  • Drafting correspondence, document production and amendments including use of precedents
  • Monthly billing and reporting
  • High volume file management including file opening and closing, electronic and physical filing 
  • Reconciliation of corporate expenses
  • Assisting in maintaining client databases
  • other ad hoc administrative duties as required

What you need

This role will suit a candidate with high level secretarial skills and a good degree of initiative. In addition, you will possess the following attributes:

  • ability to liaise at all levels (including very senior clients and partners)
  • high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • advanced word document skills including document creation and presentation
  • strong understanding of software applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Elite 3E practice management and other technology systems
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, industry experts and clients
  • demonstrated ability, and resilience, to work in an environment that expects excellence as a minimum
  • pride in the work you produce and who you work for and with
