Team and Role Description

The Dispute Resolution group in Adelaide is a two partner team headed by Adam Bannister and James Kearney covering all major areas of commercial dispute resolution. You will have the opportunity to work across the group with all senior members of the team on complex commercial, administrative and regulatory litigation and dispute resolution matters. You will be acting for clients across a broad range of industry sectors. You will be involved in Supreme and Federal Court litigation, international and domestic commercial arbitration, expert determinations, commissions of inquiry and mediation across a number of Australian jurisdictions.

A great opportunity currently exists for a dispute resolution Associate or Senior Associate to join our Adelaide office.

About you

We welcome applications from lawyers who have:

  • at least 3+ years' experience in general commercial litigation
  • private practice experience
  • strong technical drafting and communication skills
  • the ability to negotiate commercial terms and to assist clients with making difficult decisions
  • demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
  • a team player attitude and the ability to mentor junior lawyers in the group
  • resilience and a commitment to provide exceptional levels of service to our local and international client base.
