The Team

Our Mergers & Acquisitions team in Sydney operates within the broader national Corporate line of business and is recognised as one of Australia's market leading practices. The group is led by industry leading experts offering tier-1 expertise across the full span of major domestic and cross border deals and transactions for a blue-chip client portfolio. They are regularly engaged in private and public M&A, capital raisings, IPOs, venture capital, private equity, restructuring, and general corporate governance, for entities both in Australia and off-shore.

Your Role

You will work closely with partner Louella Stone on a range of high value private M&A  transactions, with a focus on financial services, real estate and government.

This role would be ideal for an experienced senior associate looking to take a step up into a genuine pathway to partnership. You will be involved with business development, mentoring of junior lawyers and working towards building up the practice.

We are open to this role being based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane for the right candidate.

More About You

We welcome applications from lawyers who have:

  • Demonstrated experience at senior associate level
  • Strong technical experience in M&A and private equity transactions, gained at a reputable commercial law firm.
  • Experience servicing clients within the financial services or real estate sectors would be highly regarded
  • Ability and willingness to mentor and supervise junior lawyers
