The Sydney Real Estate team is led by partners Virginia Briggs, David McElhone, Jakob Paartalu, Julie Purbrick, Alice Langham and Rachel McNaught. The team offers a comprehensive range of property-related legal services for developers, investors, owners, landlords, property funds managers, listed property trusts and government.

In this role you will work alongside Partner Jakob Paartalu and his team, however, there will also be close contact with other leading lawyers working in the broader national team. Jakob and his team advise on a broad range of property matters, but specialise in high volume transactions, across a number of sectors including retail, industrial, commercial and telecommunications.


A great opportunity currently exists for an experienced leasing Lawyer to join us. You will be able to successfully manage high volume and high quality leasing work. In this role you will manage your own files and be responsible for preparing, negotiating and progressing clients' leases and will ideally have experience in leasing of retail, commercial and industrial property. You will deal directly with clients and conduct negotiations with our client's tenants and their lawyers. 

We also welcome applications from generalist property Lawyers with some leasing experience who are interested in developing their skills in this space to becoming specialists in their field.


We welcome applications from Lawyers with 2- 5 years PQE and are looking to cement your career in a market leading practice. In addition to your legal knowledge, you will have an ability to manage strong client relationships and complex transactions with minimal supervision and have the ability to provide guidance and mentoring to the junior members of the team.
