LTC is a part of MinterEllison’s Legal Service Operations team, which is focussed on utilising people expertise, refined business processes and innovative digital platforms and automation to facilitate the delivery of all our client-facing legal services across the business.  This team works closely with our legal professionals and external service providers to ensure that we adopt practices that have a positive impact on our Firm’s profitability and also deliver a consistently high-quality experience to our clients.  The Legal Service Operations team combines a diverse range of skill sets and platforms requiring a seamless leadership structure to develop a suite of truly integrated solutions.

Your Role

A great opportunity exists for a technically minded and enthusiastic person to progress their career in the legal technology industry, as a Coordinator in MinterEllison's Legal Technology Consulting (LTC) team. 

LTC is responsible for providing expert technical and project management consulting support for legal matters, specialising in the areas of electronic litigation, web based data rooms and information management.

Coordinators are an essential part of our national LTC team, providing task-based support to our Advisers, Consultants and Leads.  Reporting to the Coordinator Lead, these team members enjoy exposure to all parts of our business and are presented with the opportunity work across a diverse portfolio of matters at any given time.

Coordinators should have a keen eye for detail, an ability to forge strong relationships, and a flexible and autonomous approach to their work.

Substantial training is provided, and successful Coordinators have multiple avenues for career development.

As a key member of this team, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Loading documents to our databases and platforms
  • Providing training to our lawyers on the various products used by the team
  • Assisting in writing process guides/process maps
  • Taking detailed instructions from lawyers and relaying information to the team
  • Working in project teams across our group, focussed on strategic initiatives for the continuous improvements of our offerings
  • Participating in the national alignment of policies, procedures, services and products
  • Other duties as directed by the Head of Legal Technology and Coordinator Lead

More About You

We welcome applications from people who possess:

  • previous experience in the legal technology industry, ideally 1-3 years
  • above average IT skills, with the ability to pick up new programs quickly
  • keen interest in technology and AI
  • skills in software development, coding, scripting or similar
  • exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • proactiveness and a willingness to learn
  • adaptability and a can-do attitude
  • strong organisational and time management skills
  • qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security or Digital Forensics are highly desirable
  • qualifications in Law or Legal Studies are also advantageous

We are also open to applications from exceptional candidates who may not possess all of the above experience or qualifications, but are technically or legal minded and passionate about a career in this industry.
