Your role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Analyst to work within our Brisbane Technology Team. The role, whilst varied, will fundamentally entail delivering professional and timely support for a variety of technology issues. This role will see you:

  • work within a team of support analysts who provide second level support for internal business clients either face to face or via telephone
  • identify re-occurring support issues and contribute to problem resolution
  • escalate calls to other technology groups as appropriate, ensuring all necessary information is documented
  • communicate technology information to the business using agreed templates and protocols
  • explain technology policies and procedures to clients where necessary
  • participate in a rotating 7.5-hour shift roster, currently 7.30am to 6.00pm weekdays.

Your Role

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • demonstrated technical training including the achievement of at least one technical certification
  • network administration experience including creating user accounts and groups, changing passwords, changing security levels
  • experience in setting up and troubleshooting remote access via Citrix/RSA administration
  • basic understanding of Cisco VoIP and mobile technology
  • a strong, proactive client service focus
  • ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment

More About You

We welcome applicants who have:

  • Minimum 2 years in a second level desktop support role within a large corporate organisation, ideally in professional services
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • A can-do attitude 
  • A willingness to learn and help out both internally within the team, as well as with stakeholders/customers.
