Purpose of the Role:


The Catering Assistant is a vital part of the kitchen, running their own section and providing essential support to our Chefs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our kitchen facilities and the exceptional delivery of catering services for all firm events.

 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Partner with our chefs to prep and perfect ingredients, assembling dishes that are both visually appealing and delicious.
  • Effectively oversee and maintain your designated section.
  • Keep detailed records to uphold our strict food safety standards.
  • Provide top-notch customer service, making every interaction with clients and colleagues a positive one.
  • Understand and identify the importance of dietary requirements to ensure guest safety and deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Play a role in food presentation and preparation, always adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Use your creativity to design a diverse menu of sandwiches and salads, keeping our offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Manage the ordering and storage of kitchen supplies, ensuring everything is in place for efficient operation.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed, always ready to support the team.

 

Experience:
 

  • At least three years of experience in hospitality, with a preference for backgrounds in fine dining, banqueting, or corporate catering.
  • A solid understanding of various food items, including the ability to identify and work with a range of herbs, lettuces, meats, and vegetables.
  • A current Food Safety certification is required for this role. If you're not yet certified, don't worry - we'll guide you through the process of obtaining it.
  • A history of providing excellent customer service in a catering or hospitality setting.
