MinterEllison has an award winning Property team which is recognised for its client service, calibre of work and thought leadership. The team offers a comprehensive range of property-related legal services for developers, investors, owners, landlords, property funds managers and listed property trusts.  

 

Our clients are sophisticated and savvy, ranging from major institutional property investors, developers, landlords and tenants on all aspects of commercial, industrial, retail and residential property including capital transactions (acquisitions and disposals), large scale developments, major projects and leasing. 

 

Your Role  

 

A great opportunity currently exists for a Lawyer to join our Adelaide team working closely with Real Estate Partner Leah Wright and her highly accomplished team. In this role, you will provide advice across the entire property life cycle. The team regularly acts for vendors, purchasers, landlords, tenants and developers in relation to the development, acquisition, disposal and leasing of commercial, industrial, student accommodation, residential and retail properties in South Australia and nationally.  

 

The team act on large scale real estate transactions, together with advising on all facets of commercial, industrial, retail and residential property including due diligences, acquisitions, disposals and development work. 

 

Our leasing practice is part of our core business and it continues to grow from strength to strength. We work on both high volume stream leasing and conveyancing matters as well as complex and sophisticated leasing deals for some of the best clients in Australia.  

 

This role will be focused on supporting the 3 senior members of the team in managing projects as well as  development, capital transactions and leasing work.   

 

What you need 

 

We welcome applications from experienced property lawyers at Lawyer level up to 4 years PQE who have: 

 

  • experience in commercial property law 

  • skilled in advisory work, legal drafting and contract negotiation 

  • strong commercial acumen 

  • a client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts 

  • initiative and drive to take ownership of your matters and client portfolios 

  • ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, sharing files and clients 

  • an interest in continuous process improvement and generating efficiencies through innovation and state of the art technology and  

  • a commitment to excellence that matches our own.
