The Team

 

The Client & Market Growth (CMG) team is MinterEllison’s high performing national business development function. The team supports the Partnership to achieve its strategic objectives through developing and executing on the full spectrum of business development and marketing initiatives. This work is a critical component to the firm’s success, and ensuring the firm maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.

The Role

 

A fantastic opportunity exists in Adelaide for a Market Growth Manager to develop and lead the implementation of client account management, business development activities and integrated marketing campaigns that support the firm's growth ambitions.

 

This role supports the Adelaide Office Managing Partner (OMP) and Partner group across all of the firm's lines of business, collaboration with the national CMG team, lawyers, consultants and clients across all levels of seniority.

 

This role is client driven with significant Partner interaction and coaching in support of the growth plans in place. This will include:

  • Assisting with the client account growth initiatives for the local market
  • Assisting with proactive development of client and network relationships across both private and public sector entities to build a pipeline of work and lead responses to opportunities
  • Driving strategic proposals and capability statements
  • Supporting business development activities across the lawyers and consultants by deepening clients relationship with client listening meetings, roundtables and networking events
  • Executing marketing strategies to enhance the MinterEllison brand
  • Working closely with the firm's industry teams to facilitate cross selling opportunities
  • Assisting with broader CMG team initiatives
  • Continually seeking areas to innovate to enable more efficient processes and time management, with a focus on the application of Gen AI tools.

 

More About You

 

You will bring your professional services business development and client management experience, knowledge of working in a similar environment and capability to truly shape the role. We welcome applications from seasoned BD professionals who possess:

 

  • A least 5 years working within a similar role, legal and/or professional services experience is highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business development or a related discipline
  • Strong influencing skills to manage multiple stakeholders nationally
  • Ability to manage campaign development, execution and ROI
  • Experience in leading key stakeholders to deliver proposal responses
  • Agility to work with the partners, nationally, to develop strategies for key clients by building relationships with clients and industry/market leaders
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical, planning and project management skills
  • A strong, proactive client service focus
  • Self-motivated and flexible in responding to changing work priorities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, problem solving and an outcomes focus
  • Is curious and innovative
