Our Team

 

Wells Advisory merged with MinterEllison Consulting in 2023 as our Education Consulting Practice. We provide specialist consulting advice to senior leaders, encompassing regulation, compliance, governance, strategy, business case development, reviews and audit, transaction support and financial analysis. Our clients include existing education institutions in the higher education and vocational sectors and include universities, TAFE's, research institutes, private education businesses, technology companies and investors.

 

The Role

 

We currently have a full-time consulting role available in our Brisbane or Melbourne office with hybrid working arrangements available. The role will specialise in regulation in higher education and requires knowledge of the broader education sector. The role is suited for those with a background in higher education, regulation and / or quality assurance and with knowledge of the legislative and regulatory context for education in Australia.

 

The level and remuneration for the role will be determined based on the experience and background of the applicant noting that the expectations are currently at a mid-senior role.

 

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

 

    • Contribute to client engagements and form a core part of our consulting team.
    • Deliver high performance outcomes, act as an emerging thought leader on projects, and be a part of the continuous growth of the team and the firm.
    • Hands-on project delivery with contributions to firm building through thought leadership, business development, and project management.
    • Manage multiple parallel client engagements, with projects usually involving client and stakeholder engagement and consultation, solution and design workshops, research and analysis (qualitative and quantitative, as required), and developing high-impact reports/deliverables.

 

More About You

 

    • Bachelor degree or higher in any field
    • Experience in strategy and management consulting, or experience within the higher education sector
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory requirements and landscape for higher education (including broad knowledge of the vocational sector).
    •  Ability to build rapport quickly and create valuable relationships with clients
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
    • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to synthesise and interpret high volumes of complex information including interpreting regulations.
    • Flexible approach to client engagements.
