The Team

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced full time Chef to join a strong and passionate team. As part of the Corporate Services team, the objectives of the Client Services team are to support the lawyers and staff to consolidate the Firm's position in the top tier.

Your Role

The Chef will play a key role in delivering an exceptional, creative culinary experience on the client floor, working collaboratively with the Head Chef and the wider Client Services team. This is a hands-on kitchen role for someone who thrives on creativity - there is no set menu, and the team develops new, inspired dishes every day. The role supports the firm's commitment to providing outstanding hospitality that leaves a lasting impression on Partners, staff, clients, and visitors.

  • Collaboratively work with the Head Chef and Client Services team to plan, prepare, and deliver exceptional food for formal dining, seminars, working lunches, canapé events, and daily hospitality offerings.
  • Bring creativity and curiosity to daily menu development - designing and executing new dishes each day using seasonal, high-quality produce with no reliance on a set menu.
  • Actively contribute to menu innovation, drawing on current food trends, cultural influences, and guest feedback to continually elevate the dining experience.
  • Supporting and mentoring team members, sharing knowledge and contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment
  • Prepare food that caters to a wide range of dietary requirements, including allergen management, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and culturally specific dietary needs, ensuring guest safety at all times.
  • Champion sustainability and waste-reduction practices in the kitchen, including responsible sourcing, minimising food waste, and supporting environmentally conscious operations.
  • Maintain the kitchen and all equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness, in compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) and food safety regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas, feedback, and solutions to support continuous improvement.

More about you

We’re looking for a passionate and positive Chef who enjoys being part of a supportive team and delivering great food experiences. The successful candidate will also possess the following:

  • At least three years of practical experience in a professional kitchen, ideally with a background in fine dining, banqueting, or corporate hospitality.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute creative, changing menus without reliance on a fixed offering.
  • A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • An ability to remain calm under pressure and easily adapt to last minute changes
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Clear and concise communication abilities
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
