Your role
An exciting opportunity exists within our Complex Liabilities Insurance and Regulation team for a Legal Executive Assistant. This role will support our Claims team including Medical Malpractice and General Insurance teams. Exposure to PIPA claims is advantageous though not essential. The team are hard-working and passionate with a collaborative and supportive approach. You will collaborate with the other Legal Executive Assistants in the team to support each other and the team as a whole.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a self-starter and proactive.
As a key addition to this team, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive email and diary management, including coordinating and scheduling meetings;
- Liaising with clients, barristers, and a range of internal and external stakeholders;
- Preparing court books and briefs in accordance with procedural requirements;
- Drafting and preparing court documents for filing, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
- Filing court documents with the relevant courts in a timely and efficient manner;
- Drafting correspondence and document production, including amendments using established precedents;
- Maintaining and updating databases using Elite software;
- Managing high-volume files, including file opening, closing, and electronic filing;
- Performing general administrative duties, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and conducting searches as required;
- Coordinating and preparing monthly billing, client reporting, and general accounting responsibilities.
What you need
The successful candidate will have at least 2+ years' legal secretarial experience (litigation and personal injury experience favourable) and will also possess the following attributes:

- self-motivated and an ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment;
- strong understanding of MS Office applications;
- ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities;
- team orientated and committed to building rapport with other practice group team members;
- initiative and strong desire to contribute to team success.
