Health, Aged Care and Human Service | Associate or Senior Associate

About us

MinterEllison is Australia’s largest law firm and provides legal and consulting services.

Purpose is at our core. We create lasting impacts with our clients, our people and our communities. Our teams collaborate and deliver to our Purpose, and consistently work to embed our values into everyday actions. Clients rely on our expertise and insights. They value our responsive, creative and commercial approach. We are curious by nature, diverse in our disciplines and authentic in our relationships.

Diversity and inclusion is at the core of our Purpose and informs the way we work with each other, our clients and in the community. We know that when we bring together diversity of thinking, skills, experience, gender identity, backgrounds and orientations, we get better results.

Your role

A great opportunity currently exists for an Associate or Senior Associate, to join our well regarded Health, and Human Services industry group. Work closely with Partner Penelope Eden, lead of MinterEllison's national Human Services Practice and a high performing team of senior industry legal experts.

You will be involved in a variety of work including provision of regulatory and policy advice, transactional and structuring advice (in conjunction with our corporate and financial services lawyers), reviewing and drafting a range of aged care agreements, management of incidents and complaints involving regulators, claims, inquiries and inquests, risk management, policy drafting, quality reviews, privacy and access to records.

Our clients are broad and range from not-for-profit and charitable organisations, private and ASX listed operators, insurers and public and private healthcare operators.

In addition to having a strong health law background, specialisation and a genuine interest in the aged care and disability sector is a bonus for any candidate.
