The main duties and responsibilities of this role will include, but not be restricted to:

  • Preparation and review of the balance sheet reconciliations for Australia and International offices, with appropriate supporting documentation on file;
  • Analyse and review monthly financial results;
  • Preparation of reports to be delivered to key stakeholders;
  • Preparing month end journals as required;
  • Provide treasury management support, including cash flow forecasting and management, account and banking management, reporting and analysis to support decision making
  • Maintenance of Chart of Accounts;
  • Provide support to manager and be proactive in provision and analysis of information;
  • Detailed review of annual and interim audit and reconciliation files for all Australian and International offices;
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for all ME entities;
  • Regular review and documentation of key processes used within the team;
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the processes and outputs of each team member of the Financial accounting team, as well as an overall understanding of the workflows of the remainder of the team;
  • General adhoc tasks as required and assist Financial Accounting Manager with any adhoc projects.

 

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified       
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified accountant
  • High level understanding of AIFRS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • High level of accuracy, organisation and time management skills;
