As we deliver on our 2025 Strategy, our Canberra Technology Consulting team is continuing to enjoy an exciting period of growth, particularly across our Sourcing and Commercial Services offering, seeing us create  several excellent opportunities to join the team. Having built a strong market presence and currently delivering large sourcing programs across several major Commonwealth departments, you will have the opportunity to be involved in sourcing and commercial support across major ICT contracts across all phases of the contract lifecycle. Our clients are in a period of tight scrutiny, with increased focus on ensuring ICT contracts are critically assessed to ensure value for money and on-going improved outcomes to continue to support Australian citizens. Being experts in sourcing over the last 20+ years, we have a very mature and innovative offering to support clients in structuring ICT solutions, with supporting commercial terms, that really change the way in which they do business. 

 

Your role

We are currently recruiting for a number of permanent opportunities for experienced Sourcing and Commercial Consultants, with experience across technology, to assist our clients to make smart decisions as they plan, execute and transition to new or re-invigorated supplier arrangements. You will have the opportunity to  deliver and support the execution of ICT procurement processes with predictable high value outcomes under accelerated timeframes regardless of the complexity of scope, stakeholder, or supplier, aided by our industry leading frameworks, accelerators and analytics support. 

 

In support of this we are looking for individuals who have experience in:

•    Developing Sourcing strategies
•    Strategic, end-to-end technology sourcing programs.
•    Developing a commercial strategy and co-ordinating procurement.
•    Preparing and reviewing commercial documents, particularly as they relate to service definitions and performance frameworks
•    Managing risk
•    Working with legal to ensure commercial and legal objectives are aligned
•    Running/supporting large tender processes.
•    Facilitating evaluation across technical, financial and commercial streams, including preparation of evaluation reports
•    Negotiation planning and execution.
•    Contract finalisation and preparation of executive papers for endorsement.
•    Supplier Performance Management/Contract Management.

 

More About You

We welcome applications from Senior Consultant to Manager level candidates have demonstratable experience across the categories noted above as well as the following professional and technical qualifications:

 

Professional Background

•    3 years + experience working in a consulting environment focusing on technology procurement, commercial negotiation and end to end sourcing.
•    A deep understanding of technologies and commercial reform.

 

Skills

•    Advanced Word, Excel and Power Point skills.
•    Attention to detail and time management.
•    Superior verbal and written communication skills.
•    A positive 'can do' attitude.
•    Ability to present recommendations that are consumable by senior stakeholders
•    Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and facilitate meetings and workshops at all levels
•    Ability to assess solutions and transformation initiatives

 

Qualifications

•    Undergraduate degree, preferably within the following disciplines: Business Management / Commerce, Information Technology,  Computer Science / Engineering, Finance or Law.
•    Must hold Australian Citizenship and be able to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
