Your role
A great opportunity currently exists for a Lawyer or Associate with at least two years of post admission experience to join our Melbourne Insurance and Corporate Risk team.
The team you will work with is led by partners Patrick Considine, Kristy Brockwell, Dora Cosentino and Peter Coats, who are nationally recognised for pre-eminence in litigation and insurance law. We have a diverse and well-established client base, including private and government clients.
We advise and represent our clients in sensitive and complex litigation including coronial inquests, a wide range of tort-based claims such as negligence, battery, assault, false imprisonment and defamation claims, as well as advising in regulatory investigations and prosecutions. If you love problem solving, assessing risk, forensically analysing evidence, crisis management and providing strategic advice, this role is for you!
What you need
We welcome applications from Lawyers and Associates who:
• have at least two to three years' experience in insurance litigation;
• are familiar with civil procedure in the Victorian Supreme Court and County Court;
• can explain complex issues to clients clearly and concisely;
• have unwavering attention to detail and technical excellence;
• have a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with clients and industry experts;
• thrive in a highly collaborative environment; and
• take pride in their work and who they work with.
