The Team
As a Firm we recognise that the provision of first class legal services requires a talented and supportive team. We have a full inhouse café set up, with state of the art café equipment.
The Café Lead is main point of contact for the café and ensures the smooth running of the day to day operations. The objectives of the café lead is to lead and manage all aspects of the cafe working alongside the Client Services Team Leader, Café Assistants and Kitchen Team.
We are currently looking for an experienced professional with a real passion for coffee, food and customer service to join our team on a permanent basis. The regular café shifts are 7.15 to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. However these may change dependant on the needs of the business.
Your Role
Reporting to the Client services team leader, you will take a 'hands on' involvement with all tasks and responsibilities including:
- A passion for coffee: Demonstrated experience in high-volume environments, with a strong proficiency in latte art being highly desirable.
- Administrative duties: Including staff rostering, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- People management: Hiring, training, and performance reviews
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Encouraging innovation within the café, improving operational practices, and ensuring customers receive high-quality service in the most efficient and timely manner.
- Streamline Processes Nationally: Work in conjunction with café teams national to ensure consistency across all locations.
- Compliance: Making sure the cafe adheres to health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene standards and internal procedures.
- Reporting: Ability to conduct comprehensive reporting on daily activities as well as specialised reporting as required.
- Driving & Managing budgets: Helping deliver and monitor the annual budget while identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Specialised Café experience: Be able to give expert insight into the café operations to ensure best practices are being followed and to identify potential areas for improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships: Collaborating with suppliers and key stakeholders to maximize supplier value and ensure high-quality service in the café
More About You
You should have 2-5 years of experience as a Café lead or in a similar role within a fast-paced café environment. A passion for customer service is also essential.
In addition, you will need to possess the following skills and attributes:
- Barista certification/training essential
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft office suite e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Previous experience using a Point of Sales System and End-of-Day Financial Management/Reconciliations
- Food safety supervisor certificate
- Experience in preparing/serving food orders
- Warden & First Aid Certificate is desirable but not essential
