Our national Client & Market Growth (CMG) team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients and supports its strategic objectives.

 

Your Role

 

A fantastic opportunity exists in either Sydney or Melbourne for a Corporate Communications Senior Consultant, to join our national Corporate Communications & Media team.  

 

This role offers an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering the Firm’s internal and external communications strategies. You’ll help ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful across all channels. Working closely with Business Operations teams, you’ll coordinate the flow of internal communications to streamline delivery and enhance engagement. You’ll also contribute to elevating the Firm’s strategic priorities and brand by crafting high-quality content for internal platforms such as the intranet, as well as external channels including the Firm’s website and social media.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

·       Strategy & Execution: Support the firm’s internal communications strategy by applying best practices and partnering with the Senior Manager to drive engagement on initiatives like AI, International, Invest Sydney, and the Industry Program.

·       Content Development: Source and share people and client stories creatively across internal channels.

·       Channel Management: Oversee the weekly firm-wide newsletter, Intranet homepage, and assist with transitioning key emails to the Swift platform.

·       Planning & Reporting: Maintain the internal communications calendar and contribute to reporting with insights and recommendations.

·       Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across Business Operations and Business Units to understand and support their communication needs.

·       Media & Digital Content: Draft media releases, website and social media content, support thought leadership promotion, and assist with media reporting to enhance the firm’s external voice and visibility.

 

More about you

 

·       Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Communications.

·       5+ years of experience in communications, ideally in a large firm or corporate environment

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content for both internal and external audiences.

·       Strong passion for leveraging AI to create efficiencies across preparing and distributing communications across the Firm.

·       Knowledge of social media channels, use of social listening tools, social media management platforms and tools/analytics.

·       Experience in writing and managing content across a range of internal and external channels.

·       Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·       Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and support senior communications leadership.
