Your role

A great opportunity currently exists for a Lawyer or Associate with at least three years of post admission experience to join our Melbourne Insurance and Corporate Risk team. The team is led by Patrick Considine and Kristy Brockwell who are nationally recognised for pre-eminence in insurance law. We have a diverse and well-established client base, including the Victorian Government & associated agencies and departments, Allianz, QBE, Vero Insurance, the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority, Comcare, The Municipal Association of Victoria.

We advise and represent our clients in sensitive and complex litigation including coronial inquests, a wide range of tort based claims including in negligence, battery, assault, false imprisonment and defamation claims and advising in regulatory investigations and prosecutions.

What you need

We welcome applications from Lawyers and Associates who:

• have at least three years' experience in insurance litigation;
• are familiar with civil procedure in the Victorian Supreme Court and County Court;
• can explain complex issues to clients clearly and concisely;
• have unwavering attention to detail and technical excellence;
• have a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with clients and industry experts;
• thrive in a highly collaborative environment; and
