About the role

• As a registered trademark attorney, you will provide strategic advice and assistance to clients on all aspects of trademark protection, registration, enforcement, and management.
• You will work closely with the Intellectual Property team, which consists of lawyers, patent attorneys, and senior trademark attorneys, and collaborate with other practice groups across the firm.
• You will handle a variety of trademark matters, including conducting searches, filing applications, responding to objections, oppositions, and non-use actions, drafting agreements, and advising on infringement and disputes.
• You will also develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations, across various industries such as technology, media, entertainment, consumer goods, and healthcare.

More about you

• You are a registered trademark attorney in Australia, with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or IP boutique.
• You have excellent technical skills and a thorough understanding of the trademark laws and procedures in Australia and internationally.
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• You have a proactive and client-focused approach, and the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and pressure.
• You have a keen interest in developing your career and expanding your knowledge and skills in the IP field.
