Your role

 

An outstanding opportunity exists for a Senior Associate to join our Melbourne Insurance and Corporate Risk team.

 

You will work alongside a highly regarded team led by Partners Kristy Brockwell and Patrick Considine, both nationally recognised for their expertise and leadership in litigation and insurance law.

 

Our practice boasts a diverse and well-established client base, advising on a broad spectrum of complex litigated and pre-litigated matters, including inquests, institutional liability and sensitive claims. This role is ideal for a lawyer who thrives on problem-solving, risk assessment, forensic analysis of evidence, crisis management, and delivering strategic, commercially focused advice.

 

About You

 

We are seeking applications from lawyers who:

 

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance and disputes litigation, with exposure to inquests, institutional liability and sensitive claims matters;
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of civil procedure in the Magistrates', County and Supreme Courts;
  • Communicate complex issues with clarity and precision, particularly when handling sensitive and confidential matters;
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and technical excellence;
  • Have a strong client focus and a proven ability to build enduring relationships with clients and industry stakeholders;
  • Excel in a collaborative, high-performing team environment;
  • Take pride in the quality of their work and the relationships they cultivate.
