Your Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate procurement manager with a continuous improvement mindset. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the procurement of goods and services firm wide within a small team.
The procurement team manage, negotiate, protect, and optimise the firm's investments in indirect goods and services, including enterprise digital solutions.
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who will provide positive commercial outcomes in the areas you may not yet have extensive experience in, or the areas you have a desire to learn.
Duties & Responsibilities
Managing procurement activities, primarily of indirect categories
- Ensuring our procurement of goods and services provide positive commercial outcomes that are aligned with our strategic ambitions and compliance standards
- Performing risk based supplier due diligence
- Negotiation of commercials and terms and conditions with new and existing suppliers
- Providing guidance and assistance to business owners in supplier management best practices, sourcing strategies and negotiation
- Supporting strategic firm projects by managing key procurement activities and tenders, as required
- Proactively identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve and develop the firm's procurement practices, processes and use of technology
- Analyse category expenditure and provide insights to inform strategic sourcing opportunities and report on key metrics
- Liaising and collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders at all levels to raise awareness and improve the procurement and supplier relationship management capability firm wide
- Working closely and collaboratively with our Office of General Counsel
- System administration and management of the firm's procurement system
- Build and maintain procurement reports, as required.
Knowledge, skills & experience
- 7+ years procurement experience including category management, leading, managing and supporting tender processes, technology and sourcing strategies
- Ability to manage multiple tender processes concurrently
- Supportive, pragmatic and collaborative engagement approach
- Demonstrated procurement experience with tangible business outcomes
- Strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills with attention to detail
- PowerBI or similar reporting platform experience
- Has been actively involved in, led the implementation of or administered a source to contract system.
