Your Role

A great opportunity exists for an experienced Practice Team Leader (PTL) to join our Perth Office.

The PTL's role is to lead and build a high performing agile Legal & Consulting Support team to enable Partners and senior client facing staff to deliver market leading business, legal and consulting services. The PTL is accountable for managing the administrative function and Line of Business Executive Assistants within the office. 

You will be a key member of the Perth office management team (which includes other Business Operations professionals) working alongside the Practice Group Leaders and Staff Partners. As a key addition to the Perth office, some of your areas of responsibilities will include:


People Leadership:

  • Leads Legal Support through all aspects of the performance cycle
  • Active management and compliance in relation to the Legal Services Award 
  • Manage ongoing resourcing requirements including end to end recruitment and the onboarding process
  • Ensure Executive Assistants deliver the highest level of support to Partners and senior client facing staff


Resource & workflow management:

  • Legal utilisation reporting
  • Manages & forecasts Legal Support resourcing requirements, including managing leave and arrangements



  • Works closely with Practice Group Leader on team operations and proactively collaborates with Talent
  • Proactively collaborates with Talent
  • Manages onboarding of all new starters 
  • Space Management 
  • Lead role in the interaction with Business Operations 
  • Maintains key operational platforms 
  • Assists with enhancing group morale 



  • Timesheet management
  • End of month billing coordination 
  • Reporting for Partners where needed including monthly WIP/Debt Proactively works with Credit Control team 
  • Legal Support expense approvals 


Knowledge sharing & continuous improvement:

  • Coordinates and run Legal Support meetings 
  • Active involvement in firm wide initiatives
  • Facilitates training & development for Legal Support 
  • Focus on process improvement & sustainable ways of working
