Your Role

A great opportunity currently exists for lawyers across all levels to join our award winning real estate team working closely with the partners and senior lawyers across a range of real estate transactions.  As a member of this team you will have a focus on capital transactions, major projects (including urban renewal), structured real estate transactions and financing.

This opportunity would suit someone who is looking to work on projects from conception to fruition.  The team acts for government agencies, a number of major property owners, developers and financiers on all aspects of the real estate transactions with a focus on major projects.

In this role you will work closely with the partners and senior lawyers to draft and negotiate complex documents and manage large transactions and you will deal directly with clients. You will also be part of one of the largest national real estate teams and there will be regular opportunities to work closely with colleagues across all jurisdictions and lines of business.

Our Team

MinterEllison's Perth Infrastructure, Construction and Property team is led by partners Lee Rossetto, Gehann Perera, Tom French, Alex Lowe and Nada Raphael and provides comprehensive legal support to government agencies, major institutional property investors, developers, landlords, retirement village operators, contractors, financiers and tenants on all facets of urban renewal, commercial, industrial, retail and residential property including due diligences, acquisitions, disposals, development, leasing and disputes.

What you need

We are looking to recruit Lawyers/Associates/Senior Associates (2 to 10 years PQE) who are able to successfully manage high value transactions and are looking to diversify their practice. We currently have two vacant roles – a Senior Associate (12 month fixed term contract) and an Associate or Lawyer (permanent).

• experience in commercial property law, with a particular focus on capital transactions, developments and financing
• strong drafting skills
• a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
• a keen eye for detail
• an ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, sharing files and clients
• a desire to help grow a successful and collaborative real estate practice
• a commitment to excellence that matches our own.
