Senior Associate - Property Finance

Your role

Our tier-1 Property and Real Estate Finance practice sits within our broader Corporate & Capital Markets group and is recognised as the leading practice in Australia.  The team is led by partners Leigh De Jong, Nicole Boustani, Tony Berriman and Daniel Marks. The team are regularly engaged to act for major lenders, institutional clients and big 4 banks in the residential, retail, commercial, industrial, hotel & tourism, and aged care sectors throughout the Asia Pacific region.


A rewarding opportunity currently exists for a Senior Associate with property and/or real estate finance experience to join our market leading team. You will play a key role in the running of transactions and deals across property, real estate and construction finance. You will enjoy working on a diverse range of matters spanning secured, unsecured, syndicated, club and bilateral transactions, both cross-border and domestic.


You will be mentored and supported by the partners and other senior practitioners in respect of your career development and enjoy a clear, structured path for career progression opportunities. We also offer learning and development programs to build your professional brand, team leadership and client skills.


More about you

We welcome applications from lawyers with:


  • Ideally 5-8 years' experience in Banking & Finance legal practice, gained within a reputable commercial law firm or professional services firm
  • Strong technical drafting and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate commercial terms and to assist clients with making difficult decisions
  • A client focused mindset, a responsive manner and a demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry contacts
  • A team player attitude, a collaborative method and collegial style, and the ability to mentor junior lawyers in the group
