Our Team

Our Financial Services Regulation team operates within the broader national Capital Markets & Corporate business line. Led by industry experts, the team has extensive experience across financial services regulation, corporate insurance and regulatory compliance. 

Your Opportunity

We have a rewarding opportunity for an Associate to join our team based in Sydney. You will enjoy a diverse mix of regulatory advice, product review, contract review and drafting and licensing.

Our national model means you will work collaboratively with a team of experienced and supportive professionals across our network of offices across the country.

More About You

• Minimum 3 years legal experience
• Experience in advising on financial services laws
• Experience in one or more of general or life insurance / wealth management / banking / payment systems / licensing / AML/CTF will be well regarded
• A corporate advisory background is preferable, however we will also consider a litigation / dispute resolution background with relevant experience looking to make a transition into a regulatory advisory role
• Ideally private practice experience
• Strong analytical, technical drafting and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
• A team player attitude and the ability to mentor junior lawyers in the group
• Commitment to provide exceptional levels of service to our local and international client base.
