Your Role


A permanent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst is available within our Program Management team based in either our Sydney office with hybrid working arrangments available. You will have the opportunity to be involved and contribute to exciting projects as the firm embarks on various transformational projects.


In this role you will have the opportunity to:


  • Collaborate with a broad range of functional areas and teams relating to business analysis, process change, technology solutions and people's work practices.
  • Lead workshops and interviews to conduct business process analysis and gather requirements.
  • Analyse, review and recommend improvements to existing processes to drive efficiencies in project delivery.
  • Conduct gap analysis and present summary of findings
  • Create AS-IS and TO-BE process maps
  • Provide input into any required data mapping and translation activities
  • Create business requirements documents and partner with technology experts to translate into functional specifications
  • Write text requirements or User Stories complete with Acceptance Criteria; which can easily be understood by the development team
  • Create and manage requirements traceability matrix and product backlog
  • Provide requirements prioritisation guidelines and influence prioritisation to achieve the best outcomes for the firm
  • Provide analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation
  • Support in conducting business process impact assessment and change impact assessments
  • Partner with development and analytic teams to provide reporting on software solutions
  • Conduct workshops and technology demonstrations to seek sign-off on business requirements, new processes and technology solutions
  • Participate in test planning and execution
  • Support in ensuring project outcomes remain aligned to strategic objectives
  • Ensure timely escalation of issues and risks, and project change requests
  • Ensure templates and other project artefacts that assist with current and future program delivery are captured and shared
  • Transfer knowledge and learnings to the project team and other stakeholders


More About You


We welcome applicants who possess:


  • 5+ years' experience in a related business analyst role
  • Tertiary qualitifcations in a business related discipline or similar
  • Experience working on large or complex projects
  • Strong analytical and process improvement skills with experience in delivering efficiency improvements from analysis phase through to implementation
  • Experience developing and implementing processes
  • Experience in completing AS-IS and TO-BE process mapping in multi stream complex business environments
  • Understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Experience working in an iterative fashion, following an agile framework
  • Knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABoK)
