Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients and supports its strategic objectives.

 

Your Role

 

A 12 month fixed-term opportunity is available for a Market Growth Manager to develop and lead the implementation of national integrated business development and marketing initiatives within our Corporate and Capital Markets service line. A strong background in preparing capability statements, tenders and business development and sales within professional services is preferred. This role may be based in our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office with hybrid working arrangements available and we are open to candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time (ideally 4 days per week).

 

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and legal staff firm wide to execute strategies and initiatives to achieve the growth agenda for this business unit.
  • Lead and prepare major tenders, proposals and capability statements for the Corporate and Capital Markets service line (with lead Partners)
  • Assist with proactive development of client and network relationships across Corporate and Capital Markets functions in both private and public sector entities to build a pipeline of work and lead responses to opportunities.
  • Support BD activities across the legal practitioners through sales support services such as roundtable support, 1 on 1 external meeting marketing materials, social media channel campaigns, revenue drive campaigns, thought leadership activity, brand/PR work, etc
  • Design and execute campaigns to maintain MinterEllison's Corporate and Capital Markets market leading position.
  • Work closely with the firm's industry sector teams to facilitate cross selling opportunities (two-way).
  • Assist with broader business development team initiatives.

 

More About You

 

  • A least 5-7 years working within a similar role ideally within the legal and/or professional services sectors.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a range of B2B BD / marketing roles with a focus on product and / or segment management, campaign development and communications
  • Strong influencing skills to manage multiple virtual teams of stakeholders nationally.
  • Ability to manage sales campaign development, execution and reporting in line with growth strategies.
  • Experience in leading key stakeholders to deliver pitch, tender and proposal responses
  • Agility to work with the partners, nationally, to develop sales strategies for key clients by building relationships with clients and industry/market leaders.
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical, planning and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills across Microsoft Office suites etc.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and flexible in responding to changing work priorities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, problem solving and an outcomes focus.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and project management skills.
