The Team


Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.


The Role


An exciting opportunity exists for either an experienced Business Development Coordinator or Consultant to join the Financial Services Industry team in providing specialist business development and client relationship management, based in either Sydney or Melbourne. In this role you will have the opportunity to help to drive client and market growth, you will develop and implement sophisticated client and market-focused strategies to achieve the Financial Services Industry’s objectives. As part of the broader Clients and Market Growth industry team, you will work collaboratively both with your immediate Financial Services CMG team, wider CMG colleagues and with partners across the firm.


In this role you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Provide client relationship management support for some of the firm’s key Financial Services Industry clients, you will have access to genuine client-facing opportunities
  • Support revenue generation and growth of a number of key client accounts, including working with client service teams to identify and execute business development strategy and initiatives
  • Support MinterEllison partners in developing new business through pitching strategies including assistance with proposals, capability statements and pursuit management
  • Support the development of Financial Services industry’s high end revenue, go to market opportunities
  • Support the Financial Services industry’s client listening plan
  • Collaborate with cross-industry and cross line of business to support development of integrated solutions to market and support campaigns which are aligned to industry strategy
  • Learn and develop your skills in a highly supportive team environment


We welcome experienced Business Development Professionals or ambitious new graduates to apply.


  • Tertiary qualified in Marketing, Commerce, Law or other Business discipline
  • Polished verbal communication and business writing skills
  • Strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a client service focus
  • Proactive team player with the ability to adapt in a fast paced environments
  • Ability to calmly manage competing tasks with time pressures and grasp complex concepts quickly
  • Solution oriented mindset with strong prioritisation skills
  • Goal focused with a drive to learn and improve each and every day.
