Responsibilities

  • Apply highly developed business analysis skills using business analyst techniques and tools to analyse, evaluate, document and implement business processes and practices for data management, data governance and service management solutions
  • Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify and document business data requirements
  • Collaborate with business users to specify business rules to manage data quality and resolve issues according to agreed principles and governance frameworks.
  • Accountable for investigative and analysis work to determine data business requirements and specify effective business-related data processes.
  • Support core project team in ensuring project outcomes remain aligned to strategic objectives
  • Ensure timely escalation of issues and risks, and project change requests to Project Manager and Business Analysis Lead.
  • Ensure templates and other project artefacts that assist with current and future program delivery are well captured in high quality formats and available for re-use.
  • Support decision-making process based on professional judgement, and evaluated risks
  • Support resolution of complex problem-solving.
  • Provide input into any required data mapping, data cleansing and translation activities.
  • Document and present analysis results to senior stakeholders and project team members.
  • Create business requirements documents and collaborate with technology experts to translate into functional specifications.

 

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, the candidate will demonstrate:

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Information Technology, IT Data Management, Data Science or Computer Science or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a Data Business Analyst for large organisations.
  • Experience in gathering and analysing multiple data points or data sources and producing a concise & clear analysis outcome.
  • Ability to select, adopt and adapt appropriate business analysis methods, tools and techniques, in an ambiguous environment with diverse business perspectives.
  • Outstanding verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams.
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a cross functional team environment.
  • Possesses proficiency levels between SFIA-8 Level 2 and Level 5 within the core skills listed below:
    • Business situation analysis
    • Requirements definition and management
    • Business modelling
    • Business process improvement
    • Data modelling and design
    • Data management
    • Stakeholder relationship management
  • Experience operating within large and complex ICT programs of work and under broad direction with a considerable level of autonomy
  • Experience implementing solutions related to Anti-Money Laundering, Client Due Diligence, KYC/KYB is highly desirable.
  • Experience in legal sector is desirable.
