Your Role

 

The Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team sits within our market leading Risk and Regulatory Practice providing our clients comprehensive GRC solutions across a range of industries with a particular focus on the financial services sector. 

 

We help clients to navigate the complex regulatory landscape in order to build and implement risk management frameworks and governance solutions, that ensure compliance with all relevant obligations, optimal management of operational risk, and standards of conduct consistent with contemporary customer and regulatory expectations. 

 

We are seeking an experienced GRC Director to play a leadership role in the continued growth of our practice, the delivery of exceptional client outcomes and the management and development of our team. As such, the role requires deep technical expertise in regulatory compliance, operational risk and conduct, strong client and relationship management skills and the ability to coach and develop a team. This role is based in our Sydney office with hybrid working arrangements available. 

 

In this role you will have the opportunity to: 

 

  • Client relationship management and business development.

  • Internal stakeholder relationship building and management. 
  • Lead the delivery of high profile GRC engagements with many of Australia’s most iconic organisations.
  • Demonstrable and strong project management skills 
  • Engagement Management including risk, WIP management and billing
  • Practice management and ongoing strategy development.

 

More About You

 

  • Proven expertise across the regulatory and compliance landscape, operational and conduct risk requirements and contemporary leading practices. 
  • The ability to work with clients to design and implement end to end governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Sound knowledge of key regulations and regulator expectations including the Corporations Act, APRA and ASIC requirements
  • A track record of working with clients to develop and implement future fit risk and compliance operating models, systems and processes, that are pragmatic and commercial and utilise analytics and automation to deliver business and customer outcomes.
  • Experience working with large scale remediation, transformation and regulatory change programs.
  • Expertise in relation to emerging regulatory requirements and focus areas for risk management including ESG and AI risk management.
  • Strong leadership and talent management experience.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Relevant graduate and post graduate qualifications.
