Your role

 

An opportunity exists for an experienced Legal Executive Assistant within our Sydney Dispute Resolution team. The ideal candidate needs to be enthusiastic, proactive, a self-starter and have the skills to juggle their workload with competing priorities.  

 

As a key addition to this team, some of your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing productive working relationships with key contacts internally and externally
  • Diary management and organisation of fee earners
  • Document production including use of precedents and drafting correspondence
  • Organising meetings and events internally and externally
  • Monitoring mailboxes and actioning correspondence
  • Arranging domestic and complex international travel and accommodation, including managing itineraries
  • Building and maintaining client portfolios and reporting 
  • Reconciliation of corporate AMEX expenses
  • High volume file management including file opening and closing and electronic filing
  • Monthly billing in accordance with client requirements
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

 

What you need

 

We welcome applications from Legal Executive Assistants with 3-5 years' experience. Ideally you will have experience in litigation and possess the following attributes: 

 

  • Previous experience within the legal industry or professional services environment
  • Significant experience using file management software (preferably FileSite) and account management software (preferably Elite)
  • High level skills in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Be team orientated and committed to building rapport with your practice group team members
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivation and an ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels
  • A pro-active and flexible attitude and high degree of initiative
  • A high degree of integrity, as confidentiality is essential
