Overview

The Talent Experience Manager will suit a seasoned HR BP profile or someone who is earlier on in their HR management career.

We are looking for a strategic and commercially oriented professional who collaborates with leaders nationally across 2 business units to leverage talent for profitable growth and supports the firm's purpose and ambitions. As an experienced HR professional, this role provides coaching and strategic advice to senior leaders, acting as a trusted advisor, offering insights through data and analytics to determine people strategies that deliver commercial impact. This role is available due to an internal promotion for one of our existing team. 

 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Business Unit Leaders, Practice Group Leads, BU Partners and other stakeholders to develop commercially-focused people solutions aligned with the firm's purpose and ambitions.

  • Collaborating with the Head of Talent and Talent Experience Consultants to operationalise line of business strategy within a business unit and its teams.

  • Utilising data & analytics to provide insights to business leaders for informed, commercial people decisions and strategies.

  • Working closely with business leaders to develop and implement strategies for performance management, leadership development, learning, engagement, compensation, recruiting, or other initiatives.

  • Collaborating with colleagues in Resourcing, Talent Development and Talent Operations to design and deliver talent programs that provide a consistent experience and leverage scale while addressing business unit needs.

  • Elevating awareness, support, and engagement of key strategic talent initiatives, programs, and projects.

  • Guiding leaders through change initiatives, particularly relating to talent management strategies including performance, reward, career paths, diversity, resource planning, and retention.

  • Collaborating with leaders to manage the size and shape of the business units by analysing fee earner and practice group utilisation rates, making resourcing and performance recommendations accordingly.

  • Providing a commercial people perspective on change management initiatives within business units.

  • Developing a strong profile, network, and relationships across the business unit and the broader firm to become a trusted business advisor.

  • Coaching and mentoring Talent Team members within the Talent Experience team.

  • Being the in person contact for their LoB in their location

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience at Senior Adviser level or above

  • Strong employment relations capability and experience

  • In-depth knowledge of company policies, National Employment Standards, industrial awards, and Fair Work directions

  • Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen across various areas

  • Deep expertise in talent strategy and business acumen

  • Sound judgement and ability to balance risk with commercial outcomes

  • Expertise in data analysis and people analytics

  • Strong coaching and development capabilities for leaders

  • Change management and workforce planning experience

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on personal development and high resilience

  • Specialist knowledge in global mobility, secondments, and rewards is highly desirable
