The Team

Our People & Culture team supports the programs, practices and frameworks that contribute to a safe, healthy and inclusive working environment.

We are seeking an Inclusion & Wellbeing Adviser to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a practical, delivery-focused role working across health, safety and wellbeing activities, while also supporting agreed inclusion programs and initiatives. Working closely with colleagues across People & Culture and other specialist functions, you will help deliver established programs, respond to enquiries and identify emerging themes and opportunities for improvement.

Your Role

As our Inclusion & Wellbeing Adviser, you will support the effective delivery of health, safety and wellbeing activities across the firm, providing practical guidance within established policies and frameworks. You'll bring strong coordination, stakeholder engagement and judgement, knowing when to resolve an issue using existing guidance and when specialist or higher-risk matters need to be escalated.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the People & Culture representative on the firm's inclusion committees, supporting them to plan, coordinate and deliver initiatives that help achieve their goals.

  • Providing practical guidance on health, safety and wellbeing activities and reasonable adjustments, applying established policies, tools and escalation pathways.

  • Acting as an initial escalation point for People Services Delivery and Return to Work Coordinators, triaging workers compensation, return-to-work and ergonomic enquiries and escalating matters requiring specialist input.

  • Coordinating and implementing agreed inclusion wellbeing and safe workplace activities, including campaigns, learning content, communications and engagement initiatives. Monitoring regulatory developments, emerging practice and sector trends, and identifying themes and opportunities to improve programs and services.

  • Managing day-to-day relationships with selected health, wellbeing and inclusion providers and coordinating requirements within approved service arrangements.

  • Supporting reporting, compliance obligations across inclusion (WGEA, AWEI, AusLSA) and wellbeing, benchmarking and program evaluation, tracking agreed measures and feedback and preparing clear communications, resources and routine summaries for stakeholders.

We welcome applications from people with:

  • Relevant experience in health, safety, wellbeing, employee experience, diversity or a related People & Culture environment.

  • Strong coordination and organisational capability, with experience supporting recurring programs, reporting activities, submissions or provider relationships.

  • The ability to provide practical guidance using established frameworks and exercise sound judgement on day-to-day health, safety and wellbeing matters.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach to working effectively across People & Culture and specialist functions.

  • Clear written communication skills and the ability to translate information into useful communications, resources, reports and program content.

  • Sound judgement and the confidence to recognise when a matter is complex, novel or higher risk and requires escalation to the accountable specialist or function.
