The Team

Our Finance team operates within our national Capital Markets and Corporate line of business, and has a recognised market-leading practice, consistently rated in Chambers Global/Asia Pacific. The structured finance team is led by partners  John Elias and James Mok who are recognised for their expertise in structured finance, securitisation, asset finance, acquisition finance and debt capital markets. The team regularly acts for domestic and international banks, financial institutions and major corporations.

Your Role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our leading team in Sydney, working closely with partners and other team members. You will enjoy a fascinating variety of work for high-value deals, including securitisation and asset finance, structured credit products and derivatives.  We may consider an experienced associate.

You will play a key role leading transactions and advising our global client portfolio.  In addition, you will assist in the supervision and development of our junior lawyers. Our partners will support you in your leadership development and enable you to build your professional brand as you progress your career.

More About You

We welcome applications from lawyers who have:

• experience or interest in structured finance, securitisation, asset finance, acquisition finance and/or debt capital markets
• strong drafting and communication skills
• ability to manage transactions and meet deadlines
• ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
• a team player attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with other lawyers in the group
