As part of an exciting period of growth, we are seeking a Senior Associate to join our team. 

 

Your Role 

 

In this role, you will join a high performing team with talented and supportive professionals who will help you learn and challenge you to grow. This Senior Associate role will involve working across the full spectrum of employment law, industrial relations, discrimination and work health and safety matters. 

 

You will be advising and representing employers about employment disputes, enterprise bargaining, regulatory compliance, workplace investigations and general employment advisory matters, in addition to conducting complex litigation and engaging with relevant WHS regulators. 

 

Candidates with experience across a broad range of employment law matters are encouraged to apply. Experience in industrial relations and work health and safety would be highly regarded. 

 

More About You 

 

We welcome applications from candidates with: 

  • At least 5 years of experience practising in employment law, gained at a reputable Australian law firm; 

  • Experience in industrial relations, including enterprise agreement bargaining, and work health and safety matters would be an excellent addition;  

  • A client focused approach and the ability to build strong working relationships with clients, and colleagues  

  • Demonstrated experience in managing matters with minimal supervision and the ability to drive matters forward autonomously; 

  • The ability to effectively delegate to and mentor junior lawyers, graduate lawyers and paralegals in the group; 

  • An interest in and willingness to contribute to business development initiatives for the practice group; 

  • A positive attitude and a "can do" approach; 

  • Strong initiative and ability to work autonomously and efficiently.
