The Business Systems team plays a critical role in maximising the firm's investment in Elite 3E (ERP) and other finance-specific systems (including Intapp Time) and integrations. We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a small team of Business Analysts, contributing to the effective delivery of high-quality projects and work packages for firm-wide operational and improvement initiatives.
The Senior Business Analyst will leverage knowledge of complex transactional systems (preferably finance-related) to manage business requirements, analysis, and design outputs, working closely with the Business Analysis Manager and team managers across Operations, Support and Training, Data & Reporting, and Testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in requirements elicitation workshops and stakeholder forums
- Complete requirements analysis, including data, security, and stakeholder impact analysis
- Create high-quality documentation including BRDs, functional specifications, gap analyses, and process flow diagrams
- Conduct walkthroughs of Business Analysis documentation prior to handover to development teams
- Assist with deployment tasks for product releases and minor upgrades
- Liaise with developers, SMEs, and project team members on work items and deliverables
- Assist with test planning and review test cases to ensure adequate coverage
- Provide subject matter expertise in various Practice Management system areas
- Maintain issues registers, defect logs, run sheets, and other project artefacts as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Business Analysis processes with a focus on agility, responsiveness, and high-quality outcomes
- Carry out other Business Analyst tasks as requested by the Business Analysis Team Manager or Head of Business Systems
Essential Requirements
Experience & Knowledge:
- Sound understanding and experience in Finance/ERP and Time management systems, ideally including integrations and system dependencies (Elite 3E advantageous)
- Significant experience analysing requirements and developing specifications with a focus on robust, scalable solutions
- At least 5 years' experience within a complex corporate or professional services environment
- Intermediate-advanced SQL knowledge and understanding of APIs/integrations
- Sound understanding of ITIL principles, project delivery, and the software development lifecycle
- Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) implementation or strong knowledge of AML compliance processes within Finance systems

- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent relationship-building skills with experience influencing key stakeholders at all levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable in meeting changing requirements and competing priorities
- Effective time and task management to achieve timely delivery of project tasks
